Perfect Timing

"My time is not yet here, but your time is always opportune.” – John 7:6 NASB

One of the biggest impediments to receiving the promises of God is our reluctance to start. Oftentimes, we convince ourselves that the environment has to be right or that we should feel a certain way before pursuing the things that God has placed on our hearts and minds. If you are waiting on the right feeling or perfect time to become all God has made you to be then you will be waiting forever because your time is now!

Finish What You Start:

“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus    —the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” - Acts 20:24 NLT

The enemy is not threatened by you starting, what scares him the most is you finishing because better is the end of a thing than its beginning (Ecclesiastes 7:8). He is aware of your potential and he knows that if God can complete the good work that He has begun inside you (Philippians 1:6), then glory will be given unto the Lord. So, he first tries to convince you not to start, to wait and if that fails, he tries to convince you to quit, to give up on your dreams, to settle in comfort and convenience. Therefore, remain on guard [and finish what you start], so that you will not lose what you have worked for, but will receive your reward in full (2 John 1:8).

Small Beginnings:

“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin…”
- Zechariah 4:10 NLT

All great things begin small. So, do not be dismayed or discouraged if your business is not flourishing, if the career has yet to takeoff or if the relationship has not been as fruitful as expected. God takes delight in the faith you have to start even though you do not know what the end will be. Avoid judging your progress by someone else’s relationship, finances, clothes, job or followers. Instead, continue to pursue God’s perfect plan for your life. For His word guides us and where God guides, He provides prosperity, peace, love and joy.

If you were waiting on the right time to go back to school, the time is now! If you were waiting on the right time to repair a relationship, the time is now! If you were waiting on the right time to relocate, the time is now! If you were waiting on the right time to start a business, the time is now! If you were waiting on the right time to get healthy, the time is now! If you were waiting on the right time to commit yourself to Christ, the time is now!

This is your time. This is your moment.
