“I want to be where you are”, that is a prayer/declaration I’ve made time and time again because we’re often taught that love, grace, mercy and joy is where God dwells; which is true, but what happens when the presence of God takes you from employment to unemployment, from the wedding to divorce, from perfect health to sudden sickness, from gratitude to grief? Are you willing to trust and believe that God is with you even when you cannot discern his presence?
God is not intimidated by our problems. What may seem like an insurmountable challenge to you is an opportunity for God - an opportunity for Him to be a comforter in a time of grief, an opportunity for Him to be a provider in a time of need and an opportunity for Him to be your peace in the middle of a storm. What is impossible with man is possible with God.
He who can calm the winds and waves with a word, He who delivered Daniel from the lions’ den, He who parted the Red Sea and He who knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb will never abandon you. “Therefore, I tell you, do not worry. For your heavenly Father knows what you need.
So be still, live in God’s peace and take comfort in knowing that the God of the mountain is also the God of the valley and He is with you!
